I'm posting this by request of Terry, she sent it to me on an e-mail and then deleted it cos her head (or something) is still full of Duncan lol

Terry and Janie's Excellent Adventure!!!
Got to PITP at about 10.30, just as the gates opened – gazillions of ppl
already there – not a good omen for a front row view!!!
Found a nice spot in front of one of the big screens and made our ‘nest’ –
groundsheets/food/drink/bed/sleeping bags *tee hee*
Me and Janie went off to check out the toilet facilities – v.good
considering the amount of ppl!!!. Got lost coming back but, fortunately for
us, there was a rather ‘large’ man near us so he served as our ‘beacon’ and
we homed in on him LOL
The first act on was Shaggy and Rayvon and they we great but it’s tough to
be the opening act, esp. when 50,000 ppl are still making their way into the
park. They did good though. Weather was still dry but the black clouds
were massing by then – not a good sign!!!
After Shaggy, the running order went totally wrong and we had Liberty X, who
were great. I’d kill for a body like those girlies *grrrrrr*. Me and Janie
were getting into the vibe and singing along and rocking ever-so-slightly
It’s all a bit of a blur now, to be honest, but Darren performed
fantastically, although I could have done without all his ‘are you my ppl’
stuff – it was a bit embarrassing actually and I kinda shuffled my feet when
all that nonsense was going on!!! Still, he redeemed himself by doing a
fine set of 6 songs, including 3 SG one’s *awwwwww*. There were a few ppl
around us who were getting into him aswell so me and Janie didn’t look TOO
weird LOL. In fact, I thought Janie was gonna have the big ‘O’ right there
and then LMAO. Talk about a glassy eyed stare. She had to have a lay down
after he’d finished!!! I kept waving my hand in front of her face but there
was no response!!! LOL. She was totally ‘gawwwwnnnn’, as Darren would say

Who else was fab???
Well, I thought Will Young sang very nicely (I don’t care what ppl say about
him, I think he’s got a damned fine voice). Enrique was great fun and had
the crowd going, as did Wyclef Jean. Atomic Kitten were useless and
dreadfully underdressed LOL as was Sophie Ellis Bextor (her voice was just
too weak for that sort of gig). As for the dreaded Shakira….Yea Gods and
little fishes, that woman is TERRIBLE. She sounds like a goat being put
through a mangle. OMG – awful, just awful *shakes head*
Didn’t think much of Mis-Teeq, they were OK but not my cup of tea, likewise
Ja Rule and Ashanti.
The Calling were outstanding but they only did 2 songs which was a bummer.
Ppl were rocking to ‘Wherever you will go’ but no many of them had heard
‘Adrienne’. I think that will all change now and I foresee a huge future
for those guys. Alex attracted loads of screamers though (me and Janie
included – OMG, we were just sooooo BOPPER!!! – you all would have been so
proud of us!!!) LMAO
What can I say about BLUE???? *rarrrrr*, *phwoarrrrrr*, 'sexiest beast to
walk the planet' etc. etc. They WERE great!!! I must admit that I TOTALLY
lost my cool (LOL) when they came on and squealed like a pig for their whole
set, before falling into Janies arms and weeping like a schoolgirl
(JOKING!!!). They were superb and I’m even more in love with Dunc than
before so God help you all!!! *muahahahahaha*
The finale was the icing on the cake, esp. if you’re a Queen fan (like me)
and it ended with a rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Can you imagine the
sight of 100,000 ppl all playing air guitar???? It was fantastic
All in all, one of the greatest days out I’ve EVER had and I just wish that
you all could have been there with us to share in the experience.
Love Terry and Janie
